Friday 12th June 2026
Starting from Friday Central (The National Theatre on Southbank) at midnight, but please arrive by 23:30 for rider registration and safety briefing.
Through town to suburbia, shadowing the Metropolitan Line via scenic Wembley and Pinner to Rickmansworth, with a toilet stop at 25km then along the main road to our halfway stop at Amersham Village Hall at 50km. Thanks to Fridays Rachel and Stephen Wilcox for hosting us.Â
Your non-refundable ÂŁ10 refreshment fee covers hall hire, and supplied food.
Please keep the noise down when we are at the hall so as not to disturb the neighbours.
Gently over the Chilterns to Princes Risborough, where some may wish to change to a Gravel Bike for The Phoenix trail. Or not. There’s another shop and toilets at 85km.
Final push across The Vale of Aylesbury, with a little upness at Stanton St John, then down to the dreaming spires and breakfast at the Swan & Castle, Castle Street, OX1 1AY. It’s a ’Spoons’ but since it opens at 8am, beggars cannot be choosers.
Oxford mainline station is approx. 1 km from the breakfast stop, with regular service to London Paddington or Marylebone.
Distance 110km, elevation +574m. ETA 08.30
Ps. I would suggest that you download the Weatherspoons app to your phone, and use it when ordering food and drink.
